Description

Indulge in the ultimate comfort snack with these Homemade Potato Chips topped with a rich and creamy Gorgonzola Cheese Sauce. Crispy, savory potato chips paired with a tangy and decadent cheese sauce make for a perfect party appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Potato Chips:

  • 2 large russet potatoes, thinly sliced
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon crumbled gorgonzola cheese (optional, for topping)

Gorgonzola Cheese Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Potato Chips: Using a mandoline or sharp knife, thinly slice the potatoes, rinse under cold water, and pat dry. Fry in hot oil until golden and crisp. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Gorgonzola Cheese Sauce: Melt butter, whisk in flour, add milk, thicken, then stir in gorgonzola until smooth. Season to taste.
  3. Serve the chips warm, drizzled with the gorgonzola cheese sauce. Garnish with extra gorgonzola and chives.

Notes

  • For a lighter option, bake the potato slices at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • You can substitute blue cheese or feta for gorgonzola based on preference.
