Ingredients
Pizza Sauce
- 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp dried whole thyme
- ¾ tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Brownie Pan Pizza
- 1 (13.8-oz) can refrigerated pizza dough
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Favorite pizza toppings (such as pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, or sausage)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Prepare the sauce: In a medium saucepan, combine the tomato sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer the mixture over medium heat for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 400ºF (204ºC) to prepare it for baking the pizza.
- Prepare the brownie pan: Lightly spray the Bakers Edge brownie pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Shape the dough: Unroll the refrigerated pizza dough into a 10×14-inch rectangle. Cut the dough into 4 strips approximately 3.5×10 inches each. Place each strip into the individual sections of the brownie pan, sealing the seams at the corners to form crust edges.
- Assemble the pizza: Spread a layer of the prepared pizza sauce on each dough strip, followed by a generous sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese. Top with your favorite pizza toppings as desired.
- Bake the pizza: Place the brownie pan in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese has melted and is bubbly.
- Serve and enjoy: Once baked, remove the pan from the oven, let cool slightly, then serve your perfectly portioned brownie pan pizza slices.
Notes
- You can customize toppings according to personal preference, including vegetables, meats, or vegan alternatives.
- Use fresh herbs if available to enhance the flavor of the pizza sauce.
- If you don’t have a brownie pan, use a similarly sized baking dish and slice the pizza after baking.
- Adjust baking time slightly if you add extra toppings to ensure the crust cooks thoroughly.
