Description

Enjoy these Homemade Cheesy Breadsticks, a delicious appetizer or side dish that’s easy to make and perfect for sharing. These cheesy delights are made with a flavorful blend of spices, two types of cheese, and fresh parsley for a pop of color.

Ingredients

Pizza Dough:

  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

Seasonings:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning

Cheese Mixture:

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Optional:

  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about 9×13 inches, then transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Add seasonings: Brush the dough with melted butter and sprinkle evenly with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
  4. Top with cheese: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the dough.
  5. Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden brown.
  6. Cool and serve: Let the breadsticks cool for 2–3 minutes, then sprinkle with parsley if desired. Slice into breadsticks and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes before baking.
  • These breadsticks pair well with pasta or soup and reheat beautifully in the oven.
