Description

These Hocus Pocus Cookies are a delightful treat for Halloween parties, featuring a magical blend of white chocolate chips, candy-coated chocolates, and crushed cookies in a buttery, vanilla-infused cookie dough.

Ingredients

Cookies:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Halloween-colored candy-coated chocolates (purple, orange, green)
  • 1/2 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
  • Halloween sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare baking sheets: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Add mix-ins: Fold in the white chocolate chips, candy-coated chocolates, and crushed cookies.
  7. Form and bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the baking sheets, top with Halloween sprinkles if desired, and bake for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.
  8. Cool and serve: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • These cookies are perfect for Halloween parties and can be customized with your favorite spooky mix-ins like mini marshmallows or crushed pretzels.
