Description

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup mini dark chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the oats, almond flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon if using.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the nut butter, honey or maple syrup, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Bake: Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set.
  6. Cool and slice: Let cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.

  • You can substitute the almond flour with oat flour.
