Description

This Healthy Chinese Ground Beef & Cabbage Stir Fry is a flavorful and nutritious dish that is quick and easy to make. It’s a perfect balance of protein, vegetables, and savory flavors, making it a satisfying meal for any day of the week.


Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • sesame seeds for garnish


Instructions

  1. Heat the Skillet: Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add sesame oil and coat the skillet.
  2. Cook Beef: Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula, about 5–6 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add Aromatics and Vegetables: Add garlic, ginger, and onion to the skillet. Sauté for 2 minutes. Stir in cabbage and carrots, cook for 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Season and Finish: Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, and hoisin sauce. Stir well to coat. Cook for an additional minute. Remove from heat and top with green onions and sesame seeds.
  5. Serve: Serve hot on its own or over rice.

Notes
