Description

Indulge in the decadent delight of Handmade Chocolate-Filled Rolled Crêpes, a classic French dessert that marries the rich flavors of chocolate and buttery crêpes. These elegant treats are perfect for a special breakfast or a luxurious dessert.

Ingredients

For the crêpes:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (plus more for the pan)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the filling:

  • 1/2 cup chocolate hazelnut spread or melted dark chocolate
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional, for silkier texture)

For garnish (optional):

  • powdered sugar
  • fresh berries
  • whipped cream

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth. Let the batter rest for 20 to 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a nonstick skillet or crêpe pan over medium heat and lightly grease with butter. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the pan, swirling to coat the bottom evenly. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the edges lift slightly and the bottom is golden. Flip and cook the other side for about 30 seconds.
  3. Warm the chocolate hazelnut spread or melted chocolate (mixed with heavy cream if desired) until smooth. Spread 1 to 2 tablespoons of chocolate filling over each crêpe, then roll them up tightly.
  4. Dust with powdered sugar and top with fresh berries or whipped cream if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Crêpes can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in a pan or microwave before filling.
  • You can also fill them with white chocolate or add sliced bananas for a fun twist.
