Ingredients
-
12-pack Hawaiian sweet rolls
-
3/4 lb sliced deli ham
-
3/4 lb sliced Swiss cheese (or cheddar, if preferred)
-
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
-
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
-
1 tbsp poppy seeds
-
1 tbsp minced onion (optional)
-
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
-
Salt and pepper to taste
-
Cooking spray or butter for greasing the baking dish
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
-
Without separating the rolls, slice the entire pack of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally.
-
Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared baking dish.
-
Layer all of the ham evenly over the bottom rolls, followed by the cheese slices.
-
Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese to close the sliders.
-
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, minced onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
-
Pour the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the sliders.
-
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
-
Remove foil and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes, until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
-
Let cool slightly, then cut and serve warm.
Notes
-
You can prep these ahead of time and refrigerate, then bake when ready.
-
Feel free to switch up the cheese—cheddar, provolone, or mozzarella all work great.
-
Add a layer of pickles or honey mustard for extra flavor.
