Description

This guacamole recipe is a classic crowd-pleaser with creamy avocados, zesty lime, and fresh cilantro. It’s perfect for dipping tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos and nachos.


Ingredients

Ripe Avocados:

  • 3 ripe avocados

Lime Juice:

  • 1 lime, juiced

Red Onion:

  • 1/2 small red onion, finely diced

Cilantro:

  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

Tomato:

  • 1 medium tomato, seeded and diced

Garlic:

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Jalapeño:

  • 1 small jalapeño, seeded and minced

Salt:

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Avocados: Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash the Avocados: Mash the avocados with a fork until slightly chunky.
  3. Add Ingredients: Stir in the lime juice, red onion, cilantro, tomato, garlic, jalapeño, and salt.
  4. Combine Well: Mix everything together until well combined.
  5. Adjust Seasoning: Taste and adjust salt or lime juice as needed.
  6. Serve: Serve the guacamole immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping.

Notes

  • For extra heat, leave the jalapeño seeds in.
  • To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole when storing.
