Description

This Ground Beef Ramen Skillet is a delicious and easy one-pan meal that combines the flavors of stir-fry with comforting ramen noodles. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

Ground Beef Stir-Fry:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

Ramen Noodles:

  • 2 packs instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
  • 2 cups beef broth

Vegetables and Flavorings:

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (optional for thickening)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add sesame oil and brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Add Vegetables and Flavorings: Add bell pepper and carrots, and sauté for 3–4 minutes until slightly softened. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sriracha (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, and ground ginger.
  3. Cook the Noodles: Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Break ramen noodles in half and add them to the skillet, pushing them down to submerge in the liquid. Cover and cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender.
  4. Thicken the Sauce: If you want a thicker sauce, stir in the cornstarch slurry and simmer for 1–2 more minutes.
  5. Finish and Serve: Remove from heat and top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • You can add broccoli, snap peas, or mushrooms for extra veggies.
  • For a leaner option, use ground turkey or chicken.
