Description

These Grinch Christmas Truffles are festive, no-bake holiday treats made with crushed golden Oreos, cream cheese, and white chocolate, colored vibrant green to capture the Grinch spirit. Perfect for Christmas parties or as a sweet gift, they combine creamy and crunchy textures with a fun seasonal twist.

Ingredients

Truffle Base

  • 1 (14-ounce) package golden Oreos, crushed into fine crumbs
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Green gel food coloring, to desired shade

Coating and Decoration

  • 12 ounces white chocolate or white candy melts
  • Red heart sprinkles
  • Holiday sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Oreo mixture: In a food processor, pulse the golden Oreos until they form fine crumbs. Transfer these crumbs to a large bowl.
  2. Mix dough: Add the softened cream cheese and vanilla extract to the Oreo crumbs. Stir or mix thoroughly until a smooth, uniform dough forms.
  3. Add coloring: Incorporate green gel food coloring gradually, mixing well after each addition until you achieve your desired vibrant Grinch green shade.
  4. Form truffles: Roll the green dough into 1-inch balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Chill: Freeze the balls for 15 to 20 minutes to firm up before dipping.
  6. Melt coating: While chilling, melt the white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 20-second intervals, stirring well each time until the coating is smooth and fully melted.
  7. Dip truffles: Remove chilled balls from the freezer and dip each one into the melted white chocolate. Allow excess chocolate to drip off before placing the truffle back onto the parchment paper.
  8. Decorate: Before the white chocolate sets, top each truffle with a red heart sprinkle and add holiday sprinkles if desired.
  9. Set and store: Let the coating fully set at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Store the truffles in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 1 month.

Notes

  • Use gel food coloring as it provides vibrant color without making the mixture too runny.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • For longer storage, freeze truffles for up to 1 month; thaw before serving.
  • You can substitute white candy melts for white chocolate if preferred.
