Description

Delightfully festive Green Jello Shots made with lime or green apple gelatin, mixed with fruit juice for flavor, then chilled in shot glasses and topped with whipped cream and colorful garnishes. Perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or any celebration needing a fun, vibrant treat.


Ingredients

Jello Mixture

  • 1 box (3 ounces) lime or green apple gelatin (or any green-flavored gelatin)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • ½ cup non-alcoholic apple juice or another fruit juice
  • Green food coloring (optional)

Toppings

  • Whipped cream
  • Green sprinkles or edible glitter
  • Mini shamrock-shaped candies


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Jello Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the gelatin powder with boiling water. Stir continuously until the gelatin is completely dissolved without any granules. Then add cold water and non-alcoholic apple juice or your chosen fruit juice, mixing thoroughly to combine. If desired, add a few drops of green food coloring to achieve a more vibrant green color.
  2. Pour into Shot Glasses: Arrange small shot glasses or cups on a flat baking sheet for easy transport. Carefully pour the prepared jello mixture into each glass, filling them about three-quarters full to leave room for toppings later.
  3. Chill and Set: Place the baking sheet with the filled shot glasses into the refrigerator. Chill for at least 2 hours, preferably 3 to 4 hours, or until the jello has completely set and is firm to the touch.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Once the jello shots are fully set, remove them from the fridge. Just before serving, add a dollop of whipped cream on top of each shot. Sprinkle with green sprinkles or edible glitter and add mini shamrock-shaped candies for a festive touch. Serve chilled and enjoy responsibly.
