Ingredients
Jello Mixture
- 1 box (3 ounces) lime or green apple gelatin (or any green-flavored gelatin)
- 1 cup boiling water
- ½ cup cold water
- ½ cup non-alcoholic apple juice or another fruit juice
- Green food coloring (optional)
Toppings
- Whipped cream
- Green sprinkles or edible glitter
- Mini shamrock-shaped candies
Instructions
- Prepare the Jello Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the gelatin powder with boiling water. Stir thoroughly until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Add the cold water and non-alcoholic fruit juice, mixing well to combine. If desired, add green food coloring to achieve a more vibrant shade of green.
- Pour into Shot Glasses: Arrange shot glasses or small cups on a baking sheet for stability. Carefully pour the jello mixture into each glass, filling them about three-quarters full to allow room for toppings.
- Chill and Set: Place the filled glasses in the refrigerator and chill for 2 to 4 hours or until the gelatin is fully set and firm to the touch.
- Garnish and Serve: Once the jello shots have set, remove them from the fridge. Top each shot with a dollop of whipped cream, then sprinkle with green sprinkles or edible glitter, and finish by placing mini shamrock-shaped candies on top for a festive presentation.
Notes
- For a more intense green color, use green food coloring sparingly.
- You can substitute the non-alcoholic apple juice with any other fruit juice of your preference.
- These jello shots are non-alcoholic and suitable for all ages.
- Refrigeration time may vary depending on your fridge; check after 2 hours to avoid over-setting.
- Use sturdy shot glasses or small cups to prevent spills when serving.
