Description

This Greek Tahini Dressing is a creamy and flavorful vegan condiment perfect for salads, veggie dips, or drizzling over grilled vegetables and grain bowls. Made with tahini, fresh lemon juice, garlic, and a hint of sweetness from maple syrup or honey, this dressing is both nutritious and easy to whip up in just 5 minutes. Naturally gluten-free and dairy-free, it offers a healthy Mediterranean flair to your meals.

Ingredients

Greek Tahini Dressing Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons water (to thin)
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, and maple syrup or honey until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  2. Adjust Consistency: Slowly add water, one tablespoon at a time, while whisking until the dressing reaches your desired consistency—creamy but pourable.
  3. Season: Stir in dried oregano, salt, and black pepper, then taste the dressing and adjust seasoning if needed to balance flavors.
  4. Store Properly: Transfer the dressing to an airtight container and refrigerate. It can be stored for up to one week.
  5. Serve: Before serving, whisk well. If thickened in the fridge, add a little water to loosen the texture.

Notes

  • This dressing thickens when chilled—simply whisk in a little water to loosen before using.
  • It works wonderfully as a salad dressing, a dip for fresh veggies, or a drizzle over grilled vegetables and grain bowls.
  • For a more traditional tahini flavor, you can omit the Dijon mustard.
