Description

Ingredients

Cake Mix Crust:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

Cream Cheese Layer:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 3/4 cups powdered sugar (about 1 lb)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
  2. Make Crust: In a bowl, mix cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg. Press into the bottom of the dish to form the crust.
  3. Prepare Cream Cheese Layer: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add 2 eggs, vanilla, salt, and powdered sugar. Mix until smooth.
  4. Assemble and Bake: Pour cream cheese mixture over crust. Bake for 35–40 minutes until set. Cool in the pan, then chill before cutting into bars.
