Description
These Golden Crispy Cauliflower Bites are a delicious vegan appetizer or healthy snack. Baked to perfection, they are crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, making them a crowd-pleasing dish for any occasion.
Ingredients
Batter:
- 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets
 - 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
 - 1/4 cup cornstarch
 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
 - 1/2 teaspoon paprika
 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
 - 3/4 cup cold water (plus more if needed)
 
Coating:
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
 - cooking spray or oil for baking
 
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
 - Prepare the batter: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Gradually add cold water, whisking until smooth.
 - Coat the cauliflower: Dip florets into the batter, then coat in panko breadcrumbs.
 - Bake: Arrange coated florets on the baking sheet, spray with cooking oil, and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
 - Serve: Warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
 
Notes
- For extra heat, add cayenne pepper to the batter.
 - These can also be air fried at 400°F for about 15 minutes.
 - Try serving with buffalo sauce, ranch, or garlic aioli.
