Description

These Golden Crispy Cauliflower Bites are a delicious vegan appetizer or healthy snack. Baked to perfection, they are crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, making them a crowd-pleasing dish for any occasion.


Ingredients

Batter:

  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3/4 cup cold water (plus more if needed)

Coating:

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • cooking spray or oil for baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the batter: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Gradually add cold water, whisking until smooth.
  3. Coat the cauliflower: Dip florets into the batter, then coat in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Bake: Arrange coated florets on the baking sheet, spray with cooking oil, and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve: Warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add cayenne pepper to the batter.
  • These can also be air fried at 400°F for about 15 minutes.
  • Try serving with buffalo sauce, ranch, or garlic aioli.
