Golden Cheese Crunch Bites are delicious, crispy appetizers perfect for any gathering. These baked cheese balls coated in cornflakes are a crowd-pleaser and easy to make.
Ingredients
Cheese Balls:
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Coating:
- 1 cup crushed cornflakes or crispy rice cereal
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a large bowl, mix together the cheddar cheese, Parmesan, flour, butter, garlic powder, paprika, and salt until a soft dough forms.
- Form the Balls: Scoop out small portions (about 1 tablespoon each) and roll into balls. Roll each ball in the crushed cornflakes until well coated, then place on the prepared baking sheet about 1 inch apart.
- Bake: Lightly flatten each ball with your fingers. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden and crisp on the outside.
- Serve: Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- These can be made ahead and reheated in the oven at 300°F for 5–7 minutes.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of cayenne or mustard powder.
- Best served warm as a party snack or appetizer.
