Description

Delicious and easy-to-make gluten-free meatballs that are perfect for a hearty meal or as a flavorful appetizer. These meatballs are packed with savory flavors and can be served with your favorite gluten-free marinara sauce.

Ingredients

Meatballs:

  • 1 pound ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup gluten-free breadcrumbs or crushed gluten-free crackers
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

For Serving:

  • Gluten-free marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Meatballs: In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, egg, Parmesan, gluten-free breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Cook the Meatballs: Form the mixture into 1½-inch meatballs. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in a single layer and brown on all sides, about 5 to 7 minutes total.
  3. Finish Cooking: For fully cooked meatballs, reduce heat and cover, cooking for another 5 minutes, or transfer them to a 375°F oven for 10 minutes.
  4. Serve: Serve the meatballs with warm marinara sauce, over gluten-free pasta, or as an appetizer.

Notes

  • To bake instead of pan-fry, place meatballs on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 400°F for 15–18 minutes.
  • For dairy-free option, omit the Parmesan and use a sprinkle of nutritional yeast.
