Description

Indulge in the rich flavors of this Garlic Shrimp Gratin, a delightful seafood dish that blends succulent shrimp with a creamy, cheesy sauce, topped with crispy breadcrumbs. Perfect for a cozy dinner at home or a special occasion.

Ingredients

Shrimp:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook the shrimp: In a skillet, melt butter with olive oil. Sauté garlic, add shrimp and cook until pink. Pour in wine, simmer, then add cream, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until thickened.
  3. Assemble and bake: Transfer shrimp mix to a baking dish, top with mozzarella. Toss breadcrumbs with olive oil, sprinkle over cheese. Bake until golden and bubbly. Broil if needed. Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Serve with crusty bread, rice, or pasta.
  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream.
