Garlic Parmesan Rice is a creamy, comforting side dish infused with bold garlic flavor and finished with melty, nutty Parmesan—perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
- 1 cup long-grain white rice (rinsed)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add rinsed rice and stir to coat with garlic butter. Cook for 1–2 minutes to lightly toast the rice.
- Pour in broth, stir, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15–18 minutes until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Let sit for 1 minute, then fluff with a fork. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
