Description

Garlic Parmesan Rice is a creamy, comforting side dish infused with bold garlic flavor and finished with melty, nutty Parmesan—perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice (rinsed)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Add rinsed rice and stir to coat with garlic butter. Cook for 1–2 minutes to lightly toast the rice.
  3. Pour in broth, stir, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15–18 minutes until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Let sit for 1 minute, then fluff with a fork. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Sprinkle extra Parmesan and herbs on top for added flavor.
  • Pairs well with steak, chicken, seafood, or roasted veggies.
  • Mold into ramekins or serve in bell peppers for a fun presentation.
  • Refrigerate leftovers up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
  • Reheat with a splash of broth or water to restore moisture.
  • Use brown rice with added cooking time and broth if preferred.
