Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 8 cheddar cheese cubes
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with onion, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt until fully cooked. Drain excess grease and set aside to cool.
- Flatten each biscuit dough round using your fingers or a rolling pin.
- Place a spoonful of the beef mixture and a cube of cheddar cheese in the center of each dough round.
- Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal tightly. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Mix melted butter with minced garlic and brush over each dough ball.
- Sprinkle the tops with grated Parmesan and parsley if using.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Optional: brush again with garlic butter immediately after baking for extra flavor.
Notes
- To make vegetarian, substitute beef with seasoned mushrooms or plant-based ground meat.
- Experiment with different cheeses like mozzarella, pepper jack, or gouda.
- Add bacon bits or jalapeños for variation.
