Description

Savor a delicious blend of garlic butter steak and succulent shrimp tossed with egg noodles in a savory soy and oyster sauce stir-fry. This quick and flavorful meal combines tender slices of sirloin or ribeye with perfectly cooked shrimp, coated in a rich garlic butter sauce, making it an irresistible choice for a comforting weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 8 oz steak (sirloin or ribeye), thinly sliced
  • 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined

Noodles

  • 8 oz egg noodles (or any noodles of choice)

Sauce and Seasonings

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Garnish

  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook Noodles: Prepare the egg noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set them aside to keep warm.
  2. Sauté Garlic: Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until it becomes fragrant but not browned.
  3. Cook Steak: Season the thinly sliced steak with salt and pepper. Add the steak to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Cook Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside with the steak.
  5. Toss Noodles with Sauce: Add the cooked noodles back into the skillet. Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together to evenly coat the noodles and heat through.
  6. Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked steak and shrimp to the skillet with the noodles. Toss all ingredients together and cook for an additional 2 minutes to meld the flavors. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
  7. Serve: Garnish the dish with sliced green onions and serve immediately while hot and flavorful.

Notes

  • Use sirloin for leaner steak or ribeye for a richer flavor.
  • Substitute egg noodles with rice noodles or soba noodles if preferred.
  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes depending on your spice tolerance.
  • For a gluten-free version, use tamari or a gluten-free soy sauce alternative.
  • You can add vegetables such as bell peppers or snap peas for added crunch and nutrition.
