Description

Indulge in the luxurious flavors of this Garlic Butter Steak and Brie Croissant Melt. Thinly sliced steak drizzled with garlic butter, topped with creamy Brie cheese, all nestled in a croissant and grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

For the steak:

  • 1 pound flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For the croissant melt:

  • 4 croissants, halved
  • 4 ounces Brie cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

For the garlic butter:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (or ½ teaspoon dried)
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the garlic butter: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, thyme, and a pinch of salt. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant, then remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Cook the steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak slices with salt and pepper. Add the steak to the hot skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from heat and drizzle with the garlic butter.
  3. Assemble the croissant melts: Preheat a griddle or large skillet over medium-low heat. Place the bottom halves of the croissants on the surface. Add slices of Brie to each, followed by a generous portion of the garlic butter steak. Top with the other half of the croissant. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, pressing gently, until the cheese is melted and the croissants are golden and crisp.
  4. Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • To save time, use leftover steak or roast beef.
  • You can also toast the croissants open-faced in the oven for a lighter version.
  • Brie can be swapped with provolone or mozzarella if preferred.
