- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Add the salmon fillets, skin-side down, and sear for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the fillets and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add the remaining butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest to the skillet.
- Spoon the melted butter mixture over the salmon.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 7-10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley and lemon slices.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
