- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and sear for 4-5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until cooked through.
- Remove the salmon and set aside. In the same pan, reduce heat to medium and add butter.
- Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in lemon juice and zest, then return the salmon to the pan and spoon the garlic butter over the fillets.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges if desired.
