Ingredients

Mushrooms:

  • 1 pound cremini or button mushrooms, cleaned and trimmed

Garlic Butter Mixture:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves or 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the garlic butter mixture: In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat the mushrooms: Add the mushrooms to the bowl and toss until evenly coated.
  4. Roast the mushrooms: Spread the mushrooms on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  5. Garnish and serve: Once the mushrooms are tender and golden brown, remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • These mushrooms pair wonderfully with steak, chicken, or as a topping for toast.
