Description

Indulge in a luxurious surf and turf dinner with this flavorful Garlic Butter Ribeye Steak and Shrimp recipe. Juicy ribeye steaks are seared to perfection and served with succulent garlic butter shrimp, creating a mouthwatering meal that’s perfect for any special occasion or weeknight treat.

Ingredients

Ribeye Steaks:

  • 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Garlic Butter Shrimp:

  • 1/2 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Additional:

  • lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steaks: Let the steaks sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Pat dry and season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  2. Sear the Steaks: In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the steaks for 3–4 minutes per side. Baste with garlic butter in the last minute and let rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, cook shrimp in garlic butter for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Sprinkle with parsley.
  4. Serve: Serve the shrimp over the ribeye steaks with a drizzle of garlic butter and lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure perfect doneness: 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium.
  • You can also grill the steak and sauté the shrimp separately if preferred.
