Ingredients
Beef Filling
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Cheeses
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Garlic Butter
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Other
- 4 large flour tortillas
- Optional: Pickles, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- Cook Beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook while breaking it up with a spoon until browned and no longer pink, about 7-8 minutes.
- Season Beef: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper into the cooked beef. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine melted butter with minced garlic and set aside.
- Assemble Rollups: Lay tortillas flat on a clean surface. Evenly divide the beef mixture among them, then sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over the beef.
- Roll Tortillas: Roll each tortilla up tightly to enclose the filling securely.
- Brush with Garlic Butter: Brush each rollup generously with the melted garlic butter and place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake: Bake the rollups in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until they turn golden brown and the cheese inside is melted.
- Serve: Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly. Slice into pinwheels, garnish with pickles if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
- You can substitute flour tortillas with whole wheat or low-carb tortillas for a healthier variation.
- Add diced onions or bell peppers to the beef mixture for extra flavor and texture.
- For a spicy kick, sprinkle some red pepper flakes into the beef seasoning mix.
- Make sure to brush the garlic butter evenly to enhance the flavor and create a golden crust.
- This recipe can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
