Description

These Garlic Butter Beef Cheeseburger Rollups are a delicious and easy-to-make recipe combining seasoned ground beef, melty cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, and a flavorful garlic butter glaze wrapped in soft flour tortillas. Baked to golden perfection, they make a perfect appetizer or meal for a cozy family dinner.

Ingredients

Beef Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Cheeses

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Garlic Butter

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Other

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Optional: Pickles, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
  2. Cook Beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook while breaking it up with a spoon until browned and no longer pink, about 7-8 minutes.
  3. Season Beef: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper into the cooked beef. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  4. Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine melted butter with minced garlic and set aside.
  5. Assemble Rollups: Lay tortillas flat on a clean surface. Evenly divide the beef mixture among them, then sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over the beef.
  6. Roll Tortillas: Roll each tortilla up tightly to enclose the filling securely.
  7. Brush with Garlic Butter: Brush each rollup generously with the melted garlic butter and place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake: Bake the rollups in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until they turn golden brown and the cheese inside is melted.
  9. Serve: Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly. Slice into pinwheels, garnish with pickles if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute flour tortillas with whole wheat or low-carb tortillas for a healthier variation.
  • Add diced onions or bell peppers to the beef mixture for extra flavor and texture.
  • For a spicy kick, sprinkle some red pepper flakes into the beef seasoning mix.
  • Make sure to brush the garlic butter evenly to enhance the flavor and create a golden crust.
  • This recipe can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
