Description
Frozen S’mores is a delightful no-bake dessert featuring a buttery graham cracker crust topped with a rich chocolate and marshmallow filling, perfect for serving chilled as a sweet treat.
Ingredients
Crust
- 10 graham crackers (crushed)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- Pinch of salt
Filling
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 8 oz chocolate bars (chopped)
- 2 cups large marshmallows
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the graham cracker crust.
- Prepare the crust: In a bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers, melted unsalted butter, and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is well combined and holds together when pressed.
- Bake the crust: Press the graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom of an 8-inch square baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until the crust turns golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
- Make the chocolate filling: Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to steam (do not boil). Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate bars in a heatproof bowl. Let it sit for a few minutes to melt, then stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Add marshmallows: Fold the large marshmallows gently into the warm chocolate filling, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
- Assemble and freeze: Pour the chocolate and marshmallow filling over the cooled graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap or foil and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight until firm.
- Serve: Once frozen, slice into squares and serve chilled for a refreshing and indulgent dessert.
Notes
- Use large marshmallows for a more traditional s’mores texture in the filling.
- Let the crust cool completely before adding the chocolate mixture to prevent melting.
- Store leftovers covered in the freezer; consume within one week for best quality.
- For a firmer crust, you can add an extra tablespoon of melted butter.
