Description

These Frozen Mango Yogurt Pops are a refreshing, creamy, and naturally sweet frozen treat perfect for hot days. Made with ripe mangoes, creamy Greek yogurt, and a touch of honey and lemon, these popsicles offer a healthy and delicious dessert option that’s easy to prepare and satisfying for the whole family.

Ingredients

Fruit

  • 2 ripe mangoes (peeled and chopped)

Dairy

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat recommended)

Sweeteners & Flavorings

  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Blend the mangoes: Place the peeled and chopped mangoes into a blender or food processor and blend until completely smooth, ensuring there are no chunks left.
  2. Mix in yogurt and flavorings: Add the plain Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and a pinch of salt to the blended mango. Blend again until the mixture is fully combined and creamy.
  3. Pour into molds: Carefully pour the mango yogurt mixture into popsicle molds, leaving some space at the top to allow for expansion as it freezes.
  4. Insert sticks and freeze: Place the popsicle sticks into the molds and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until the popsicles are completely solid.
  5. Unmold the popsicles: To remove the popsicles from the molds, briefly run warm water over the outside of the molds to loosen them, then gently pull out the frozen mango yogurt pops.

Notes

  • Using ripe mangoes ensures natural sweetness and smooth texture.
  • Full-fat Greek yogurt provides creaminess but you may substitute with low-fat or non-dairy yogurt if preferred.
  • Adjust sweetener amount based on sweetness of mangoes and personal taste.
  • Ensure molds are properly sealed to prevent freezer odors absorption.
  • Store popsicles in an airtight container or wrapper for best texture and flavor.
