Description

A creamy, icy twist on the classic winter drink, this Frozen Hot Chocolate is a rich, chocolaty treat perfect for any season. Blended with cocoa mix, melted chocolate, and milk, it’s a nostalgic and refreshing dessert drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1/3 cup hot cocoa mix
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk), melted
  • 3 cups ice
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional, to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Chocolate shavings or mini chips (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  2. In a blender, combine milk, cocoa mix, melted chocolate, ice, sugar (if using), and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and slushy.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness or chocolate intensity if needed.
  4. Pour into chilled glasses.
  5. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use plant-based milk and dairy-free chocolate for a vegan version.
  • Add more ice or frozen whipped topping for a thicker consistency.
  • Customize with toppings like marshmallows, chocolate syrup, or sprinkles.
  • For storage, refrigerate up to 24 hours or freeze and reblend.
