Description

These Fried Cinnamon Bananas are a quick and indulgent dessert or snack that’s perfect for any time of day. With a sweet caramelized exterior and a warm, soft interior, these bananas are bursting with flavor. The hint of cinnamon adds a cozy touch to this simple yet satisfying treat.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas (sliced into 1/2-inch rounds)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until combined and bubbling, about 30 seconds.
  2. Add banana slices in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side, or until golden and caramelized. Gently flip with a spatula to avoid breaking the slices.
  3. If using, stir in vanilla extract just before removing from heat.
  4. Serve warm on their own, over pancakes, French toast, ice cream, or oatmeal.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm bananas to prevent them from falling apart while frying.
  • Add a dash of nutmeg or drizzle with maple syrup for variation.
  • Best enjoyed immediately.
