Description

These Easter Chocolate Chip Cookies are a delightful treat perfect for spring gatherings or Easter celebrations. Loaded with chocolate chips and colorful candy-coated chocolates, these cookies are sure to be a hit with both kids and adults.


Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Mix-Ins:

  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pastel-colored candy-coated chocolates (like Easter M&M’s)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in Mix-Ins: Fold in the chocolate chips, white chocolate chips (if using), and pastel candy-coated chocolates.
  7. Bake: Drop tablespoon-sized scoops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Press a few extra candies on top for a festive look. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.
  8. Cool and Serve: Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
