Ingredients

  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet mini chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Stir in the mini chocolate chips.
  6. Bake: Drop the dough by rounded teaspoons onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
  7. Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
