Description

This Easy Strawberry Cobbler recipe is a delightful summer dessert that combines fresh strawberries with a sweet, buttery cobbler topping. It’s a classic and comforting treat that pairs perfectly with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Ingredients

For the strawberry filling:

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries (hulled and halved)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

For the cobbler topping:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the strawberries: In a medium bowl, mix the strawberries with ½ cup of sugar and lemon juice, then set aside.
  3. Make the cobbler batter: In another bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, and vanilla extract. Pour melted butter into a baking dish.
  4. Assemble the cobbler: Pour the batter over the butter without stirring. Spoon the strawberries over the batter.
  5. Bake: Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden brown and set. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • This cobbler is delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
  • You can substitute frozen strawberries (thawed and drained) if fresh are unavailable.
