Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 6 small flour tortillas
- 6 slices cheddar or American cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp cooking oil or butter
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomato or pickles
- 1/2 cup special sauce (mayo + ketchup + diced pickles or hot sauce)
Instructions
- Divide the ground beef into 6 loose balls. Season with salt and pepper.
- Toast tortillas in a dry skillet for 30 seconds per side. Set aside and keep warm.
- In a hot skillet with oil or butter, place a beef ball, top with a tortilla, and smash flat using a spatula. Cook undisturbed for 2–3 minutes until the edges are crispy.
- Flip so the beef is on top, immediately add cheese, and cook for 1 more minute until melted.
- Remove from skillet and top with lettuce, tomatoes or pickles, and special sauce.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
