Description

Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef or pork
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 45 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs
  • 200ml milk
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
  3. Add the garlic and ground meat to the pan. Cook until the meat is browned, seasoning with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Grease a baking dish and layer half of the sliced potatoes on the bottom.
  5. Spread the cooked meat mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Top with the remaining sliced potatoes to form a final layer.
  7. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  8. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients in the baking dish.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden and the potatoes are cooked through.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
