Description

Easy Protein Banana Pudding is a creamy, high-protein twist on the classic Southern dessert, combining ripe bananas, Greek yogurt, and vanilla protein powder into a delicious, guilt-free treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup low-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1/41/2 cup milk of choice (adjust for desired thickness)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Vanilla wafers or graham crackers (optional, for layering)

Instructions

  1. Peel and mash the bananas in a medium bowl until mostly smooth with a few small chunks.
  2. In a separate large bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, protein powder, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add more milk if needed to reach desired consistency.
  3. Fold mashed bananas into the yogurt mixture. Taste and add honey or maple syrup if desired for extra sweetness.
  4. Optional: Layer wafers or graham crackers in serving glasses or a trifle bowl. Add pudding in layers as desired.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for 1–2 hours before serving to let flavors meld and texture set.

Notes

  • Top with banana slices, cinnamon, nuts, or whipped cream for extra flair.
  • Pairs well with fresh berries, coffee, or granola for added crunch.
  • Serve in mason jars, mini tart shells, or a large trifle bowl for presentation.
  • Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
  • Freeze without wafers for up to 2 months; thaw in fridge before serving.
  • Use dairy-free alternatives for a vegan version.
  • Choose a mild-flavored protein powder for best taste balance.
  • To prevent browning, fold bananas directly into the yogurt base or toss garnish slices in lemon juice.
