Description

These easy mini cinnamon rolls are soft, sweet, and perfectly portioned for breakfast, snacking, or dessert. Made with a simple pre-made dough, a brown sugar-cinnamon filling, and a quick vanilla glaze, they’re ready in less than 30 minutes. Perfect for kids, parties, or when you want a classic treat in bite-sized form!

Ingredients

Units Scale

Dough

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (or pizza dough)

Cinnamon Sugar Filling

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Glaze

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (confectioners’ sugar)
  • 12 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prep the Oven & Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a mini muffin tin or line with paper liners for easy removal.
  2. Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean, lightly floured surface. Pinch together perforations to seal and form a rectangle if using crescent rolls.
  3. Add the Cinnamon Filling: Brush the melted butter evenly over the dough. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle the mixture over the buttered dough, covering completely.
  4. Roll & Slice: Starting from the long side, tightly roll up the dough into a log. Slice crosswise into 16–18 mini pieces.
  5. Bake: Place each piece, cut side up, into the mini muffin tin cups. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Glaze & Serve: In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make a glaze. Drizzle over warm cinnamon rolls and serve fresh.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or cardamom to the filling.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
  • If you don’t have a mini muffin tin, bake rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Double the glaze for a sweeter treat.
