A classic and easy-to-make meat lasagna recipe layered with rich meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and melted mozzarella cheese, perfect for a comforting family dinner.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce to the cooked beef, stir, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a 9×13 inch baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce.
- Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by 1/3 of the ricotta mixture, 1/3 of the mozzarella, and another layer of sauce.
- Repeat layers two more times, ending with meat sauce and topping with Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes or until cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Make ahead and refrigerate overnight for enhanced flavor.
- Use no-boil noodles for quicker preparation.
- Add chopped spinach to ricotta for extra nutrition.
