Ingredients

For the lemon filling:
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
For topping:
- powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare the crust: In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Add the flour and salt, mix until crumbly, then press evenly into the pan. Bake for 18-20 minutes until lightly golden.
- Make the filling: Whisk eggs, sugar, flour, lemon juice, and zest until smooth. Pour over hot crust and bake for 20-25 minutes until set.
- Cool and serve: Let the lemon squares cool, dust with powdered sugar, then slice and serve.
