Ingredients
Ground Turkey Mixture:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
 - 1 pound ground turkey
 - 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
 - 1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
 
Sauce:
- 3/4 cup ketchup
 - 2 tablespoons tomato paste
 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
 - 1 tablespoon brown sugar
 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
 - 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
 - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
 
To Serve:
- 4 hamburger buns
 
Instructions
- Prepare the Ground Turkey Mixture: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and bell pepper, cook until softened. Add garlic, then turkey, cook until browned. Drain excess liquid.
 - Make the Sauce: Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until thickened.
 - Assemble: Toast buns, spoon turkey mixture onto buns. Serve warm.
