A classic and easy-to-make green bean casserole that is perfect for holiday gatherings or a comforting side dish. Creamy mushroom sauce, tender green beans, and crispy fried onions come together in this delicious recipe.
Ingredients
For the green bean casserole:
- 4 cups cooked or canned green beans (drained)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/3 cups French fried onions (divided)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix ingredients: In a large bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper. Add green beans and 2/3 cup of fried onions; mix well.
- Bake: Transfer mixture to a baking dish. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes. Stir, top with remaining fried onions, and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes until golden.
- Serve: Serve warm and enjoy!
