Ingredients
Main Dish:
- 1 (30 oz) bag frozen shredded hash browns (thawed)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Topping:
- 2 cups crushed cornflakes or potato chips
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare the dish: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Mix the main ingredients: In a large bowl, combine hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, melted butter, onion, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Spread the mixture: Spread the mixture evenly in the baking dish.
- Prepare the topping: In a separate bowl, mix crushed cornflakes or chips with melted butter. Sprinkle over the top of the mixture.
- Bake: Bake for 40–45 minutes until hot and bubbly with a golden topping.
