Description

Enjoy a quick and delicious homemade fried rice with this easy recipe. Perfect for a weeknight dinner, this flavorful dish comes together in no time.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cooked and chilled white rice
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 3 green onions (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook Eggs: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet. Add beaten eggs, scramble until cooked, then set aside.
  2. Sauté Aromatics: Add remaining oil to skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant. Add frozen vegetables, cook until tender.
  3. Stir-Fry Rice: Add chilled rice to skillet, break up clumps. Stir-fry until heated through and lightly crispy.
  4. Combine: Return eggs to skillet, add green onions. Mix in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil. Toss together.
  5. Season and Serve: Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Cold, day-old rice works best for fried rice.
  • You can add cooked chicken, shrimp, or tofu for extra protein.
