This Easy Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna Recipe is a comforting, layered casserole that combines frozen cheese ravioli, savory browned ground beef, rich mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, and your favorite pasta sauce. Perfect for busy days, this hands-off slow cooker dish delivers the flavors of classic lasagna with minimal prep and maximum taste.
Ingredients
Meat
- 1 lb ground beef, browned and drained (use 2 lbs for extra meatiness if desired)
Cheese
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
Other
- 1 bag frozen cheese ravioli
- 1 jar (24 oz) of your favorite pasta sauce
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain excess fat and set aside to cool slightly.
- Prepare the crockpot: Lightly grease the bottom and sides of your crockpot with cooking spray or a small amount of oil to prevent sticking during cooking.
- First layer – sauce: Spread a thin layer of pasta sauce evenly on the bottom of the crockpot to create a flavorful base and keep ravioli from sticking.
- Second layer – ravioli: Arrange a layer of frozen cheese ravioli over the sauce. Do not thaw ravioli before adding.
- Third layer – beef: Evenly sprinkle a portion of the browned ground beef over the ravioli, distributing the meat for balanced flavor.
- Fourth layer – cheeses: Sprinkle a combination of shredded Parmesan and mozzarella cheese on top of the beef layer.
- Repeat layering: Continue layering pasta sauce, ravioli, ground beef, and cheeses in the same order until all ingredients are used up, finishing with a final cheese layer on top.
- Cook: Cover the crockpot with the lid and set to low heat for 4-5 hours or high heat for 2-3 hours. Cook until the ravioli is tender and the cheese melts into a bubbly golden layer.
- Serve: Spoon portions onto plates while hot, optionally garnishing with extra Parmesan cheese or fresh herbs like basil or parsley for a fresh touch.
Notes
- You can increase the ground beef to 2 lbs for a meatier lasagna.
- Do not thaw ravioli; layering frozen ravioli ensures they cook evenly in the crockpot.
- Using a slow cooker liner makes cleanup easier.
- If you prefer, add Italian seasoning or garlic powder to the beef while browning for extra flavor.
- Leftovers keep well refrigerated for up to 3 days and can be reheated in the microwave or oven.
