Perfect for holiday celebrations or anytime you crave a sweet, festive treat, this fudge offers a smooth, rich texture with bursts of fruity flavor and optional crunchy pecans.
Ingredients
Fudge Base
- 3 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon orange extract
- Zest of 1 orange
Add-ins
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, ensuring enough overhang to lift the fudge out easily after setting.
- Melt Ingredients: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir constantly until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Mix Flavorings: Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the orange extract, orange zest, dried cranberries, and if using, chopped pecans until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Set the Fudge: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly to fill the pan.
- Chill and Firm Up: Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours or until it is firm to the touch.
- Cut and Serve: Once set, lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into 36 small squares and serve or store.
Notes
- For a smoother texture, finely chop the dried cranberries before adding them to the fudge mixture.
- Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks to maintain freshness.
- For an extra decorative touch, drizzle melted white chocolate over the top before refrigerating.
