Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Sauce:
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
For the Rest of the Dish:
- 1 box (6 oz) stuffing mix (any flavor)
- 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Dish: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Make the Sauce: In a medium bowl, mix the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and milk until smooth. Spread a small amount on the bottom of the baking dish.
- Assemble the Dish: Place the chicken breasts in the dish, season with salt and pepper, then spread the remaining sauce over the chicken. Add mixed vegetables if desired.
- Prepare the Stuffing: Prepare the stuffing mix according to package instructions. Fluff with a fork and spoon over the chicken and vegetables. Drizzle with melted butter.
- Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until chicken is cooked through and stuffing is golden.
- Rest and Serve: Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
