Description

This Easy Chicken Stuffing Bake is a comforting and flavorful dish that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner. Juicy chicken breasts are smothered in a creamy sauce, topped with savory stuffing, and baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Sauce:

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk

For the Rest of the Dish:

  • 1 box (6 oz) stuffing mix (any flavor)
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Dish: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Make the Sauce: In a medium bowl, mix the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and milk until smooth. Spread a small amount on the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Assemble the Dish: Place the chicken breasts in the dish, season with salt and pepper, then spread the remaining sauce over the chicken. Add mixed vegetables if desired.
  4. Prepare the Stuffing: Prepare the stuffing mix according to package instructions. Fluff with a fork and spoon over the chicken and vegetables. Drizzle with melted butter.
  5. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until chicken is cooked through and stuffing is golden.
  6. Rest and Serve: Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can use rotisserie chicken or leftover cooked chicken to save time.
  • Feel free to swap cream of chicken soup for cream of mushroom or celery for a different flavor profile.
