Description

This Easy Cheeseburger Casserole is a delicious and comforting meal that the whole family will love. It’s a hearty dish made with ground beef, macaroni, and plenty of cheese, all baked to perfection.


Ingredients

For the Casserole:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 (15-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Chopped pickles or green onions for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until browned. Add garlic, salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard. Stir in tomatoes and broth.
  3. Add macaroni: Stir in the uncooked macaroni and cook until almost tender.
  4. Add cheese: Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Pour into a baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
  5. Bake: Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden. Let cool, garnish if desired, and serve.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Add chopped dill pickles on top before serving for a true cheeseburger flavor.
  • This dish reheats well for leftovers.
