Description

This creamy, sweet cannoli dip captures all the classic flavors of the beloved Italian pastry—without the deep frying! It’s luscious, chocolate-speckled, and ready in 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole-milk ricotta cheese, well-drained
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp orange zest (optional)
  • 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips
  • Pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Drain ricotta using a fine mesh sieve or paper towels for 10 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat ricotta and mascarpone together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and orange zest (if using). Beat until fluffy and well blended.
  4. Gently fold in mini chocolate chips and a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg, if using.
  5. Transfer to a serving dish. Chill for 30 minutes for best flavor and texture, or serve immediately.

Notes

  • Garnish with extra chocolate chips, powdered sugar, or orange zest for a decorative finish.
  • Serve with cannoli chips, sugar cones, shortbread cookies, or fresh fruit.
  • Make ahead up to 24 hours in advance and store refrigerated in an airtight container.
